Sparta is a young princess of Laconia who wishes to live a life of her own free will. In discovering that she is being forced to marry a man she has never met before, whom is twice her age, Sparta runs away. She escapes the kingdom and journeys to far-away lands in hopes to live the life of freedom she's always desired. However, her plans go array when she encounters a sailor's doom and is stranded on an island with sirens for years. Sparta considers it a punishment from the gods and all assume her to be dead. Yet, in a twist of fate, her betrothed rediscovers her and a wave of bitter realization overcomes Sparta who is forced to face the consequences of her escape. Faced with an unfathomable decision and war looming on the horizon that could change the future for all. Will Sparta rise to the occasion and seize the power within her to achieve her destiny? Or will she run away to live the life of freedom she's always desired?

Cassie Claremont

Cassie has always had a passion for writing and tends to read any book she can get her hands on. As a child, she dreamed of discovering Narnia in her closet and secretly prayed that Peter Pan would come fly her away to Neverland. Her imagination never left her, and when she's not busy fantasizing, she's busy planning what story to write next. She writes from her home in Maine but one day hopes to write from around the world.
