Having discovered the land of ‘fairy-tale', Clair finds herself taken over by beings from another planet. She is encouraged to search for the plant of life that will give the beings everlasting life, so that they can continue their mission of teaching humans about art, beauty and justice. But although Clair is suspicious of their motives, she agrees to go along with their plans for the plant which grows where Atlantis was once in the Atlantic.
Along with her eight-year-old cousin, Danielle, and a motley assortment of characters, Clair sets out on her long and arduous adventures to find Atlantis. Her journey takes her through historic epochs, including ancient Rome, Egypt and Iraq, where she enters the magical ziggurat in Ur.
Although she is successful in her quest, Clair is right in her suspicions that the aliens are not what they appear to be.
