Julie Roxburgh was born in South East London, an area whose colourful history influences the substance of several of her novels. Amongst her achievements are piano diplomas relating to her studies at the Royal College of Music and a BA in history and English at London University. Julie now lives in Woking, supports her local church, and, along with her music, spends most of her time writing novels and short stories.
