Dr Trevor J. Leigh is a New Zealander who initially practised dentistry in Hong Kong as a volunteer with Project Concern, a medical relief charity that treated refugees escaping from China’s Cultural Revolution. He then moved to England and worked for ten years in Britain’s NHS, ending up with his own large practice. Following that, he retrained before working for several decades as an orthodontic specialist. In parallel with his professional career, Trevor has undertaken an artistic journey, beginning in childhood with winning prizes in several national art competitions.
His journey later involved complex wood carving, bronze sculptures, and surrealist animal paintings displayed in Art Society exhibitions. With his love for animals, his most recent undertaking has been drawing dog cartoons, many of which appear in this book.
