"The Collection" opens a window to the poet's world of love, joy, sorrow and reflections of life. It lets us peep into her soul and we become a part of her journey. As she takes us along in her journey, we become aware of our experiences too, because somewhere down the line, a sense of relatability sets in. Through each poem, Becca Furze Thomas paints vivid scenes of life's fleeting moments and eternal truths.
From a man at a bus stop who has just found out his son is dead and also, childhood memories of walks in gardens to elements of nature, the strains of music, everyday occurrences and finally the inevitability of death, the poet captures the essence of what it means to be human. After all, life is as much about the raw emotions as it is about their reflections.

Rebecca Furze Thomas lives in Kent with her husband and three guinea pigs along the seafront. She enjoys reading, drawing, painting and, of course, writing.
She has been writing stories and poems since she was eight years old, when her teachers encouraged her to copy well-known poetry in order to practice her handwriting. Although her handwriting is still unreadable, it instilled in her a love of poetry, and she began to write her own poems, which were read in front of the class. Years later, she thought that maybe someone apart from herself could be interested in them.
