We very recently released Simon Dovers by A.S. Neil. Aaliyah S Neil was born in August 2006. She lives with her parents and has an older brother, Jordan. She loves reading and playing with her dog, but she also loves writing. Being a published author at 11 is a pretty rare thing, here’s a little more information about her new book!

Thirteen-year-old Simon Dovers has an eye for crime. It's no wonder he finds himself caught up in a real-life murder, stumbling across his neighbour's dead body in the night. Adventure ensues when he identifies the killer - but is this a case of mistaken identity? And will the killer strike again?

Inspired by the young talent of Miss Neil, we took a look at some of the youngest authors in history.

Michele Nkamankeng -  Six Years Old

Michele Nkamankeng of Johannesburg was only six when she finished her first book Waiting for the Waves and in just a year she completed three more books. She has stated that she just loves writing, it's what she loves doing in her spare time.

Nancy Yi Fan - 12 Years Old

Nacy was eleven when she finished her first book, she even emailed it herself to the CEO of Harper Collins who ended up publishing it. Swordbird quickly became a best seller once published and has since had two sequels.

Mattie Stepanek - 11 years old

Not only did Mattie write and publish amazingly at such a young age, he also did it with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, which ended up with his passing at 14. The books are fantastic and touching collections of poetry, he was also an advocate for peace.
