Arken was never going to stand out. Born in an insignificant town and raised in the shadow of his father, Eirik. Arken always found himself wanting more, to step out of his father's shadow and carve his name in history, at any cost. Plagued by dreams of fire and death, Arken flees his home, taking Clawsever, his father's prized sword with him.

On his journey, he finds himself face to face with scheming dwarves, feral elves, orcs, sages and saints. Most pose a threat, but none more so than the voice inside his head.

Beneath the earth, the dwarves of Naddenheim rejoice as Queen Tylga is with child. This news comes at an unfortunate time however, as goblins claw at the borders, betrayal festers within the palace and in the darkness, an ancient foe seeks to bring about their return. Above it all the Prophecy of Sundering begins to unfold.
