Goksel Altinisik was born in 1969 in Ankara, Turkey. She works as a pulmonologist at Pamukkale University. She also has a master's degree in sociology. She previously published a poetry book and four storybooks in Turkish, published by Lakin Yayinlari. She co-authored a poetry book and a storybook with her spouse, Ali Ergur, published by Mantis Yayinlari. Her latest work, titled COVID Patients Behind the Glass Wall, based on her sociology master's thesis, has been published by Raskolnikov Kitap. Goksel Altinisik continues to work as a writer, a physician, and a sociologist, and is listed in the New Turkish Literature Dictionary.
