Time Among the Ruins is a sweeping historical novel of love, loss, redemption, and the enduring power of truth. When archaeologist Robert Reed travels to the ancient Mayan ruins of Seibal, he expects to uncover forgotten history—but instead finds himself confronting the ruins of his own life. As stolen artifacts, political corruption, and long-buried secrets draw him deeper into danger, the lives of those around him become irrevocably intertwined. Alongside Itzel, a gifted Mayan scholar searching for the truth about her parents, Robert must face the cost of past choices, fractured relationships, and the possibility of new beginnings. Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Guatemala and woven with real historical events, Time Among the Ruins is a powerful story of archaeology, family, forgiveness, and hope. Rich in emotion and unforgettable characters, it reminds us that while civilizations may crumble, the human spirit—and the search for belonging—can endure across generations.
