Peter Denison was commissioned from the RMA, Sandhurst, into an infantry regiment. He resigned his commission in the rank of Captain in order to commence training as a probation officer, remaining in the Probation Service for thirty-seven years. After becoming a Christian in 1974, he was involved in various Christian rehabilitation offender related charities, including Probation Service Christian Fellowship (National Chairman), Prison Fellowship (South East England Coordinator) and Stepping Stones Trust (SST Chairman for twenty-eight years), receiving an OBE for his work in SST. He has a passionate interest in seeing the Lord working in the lives of prisoners.
