I would hope that every primary care Residency Program Director, as well as every resident in ‎training, would consider this analysis of things past as required reading to guide necessary changes in ‎the future. ‎
Jay H. Sanders, M.D., FACP, FACAAI, FATA

‎"Back in my day" is intimately described in a memoir of a first-year house officer in 1973. Fournier ‎relives the profound challenges, the unforgettable moments and the enduring lessons of the start of ‎his journey as a physician. Reading this book will show you the trials at the bedside and the ‎heartwarming camaraderie that will be recognized in a very different world of medicine today. ‎

Robert R. Walther, MD, FACP, FAAD
