The armies of men, dwarf and elf banded together in a last bid attempt to stop the forces of Sagoth the fallen god.
The orcs had awoken Sagoth in a bid to conquer the world of man. Still weakened from his battle with his brother god Ristus. Sagoth means to use the power of the Black Heart Gem.
But the mages of this world sent forth their greatest and wisest Elazar to aid the combined armies, and together they were able to drive the fallen god back to the bowels of hell.
But as Sagoth fell he laid a curse on the human King, that the blood line of Degarre would bear a child marked for sacrifice.
On the death of that child the gates of hell would open and Sagoth would return. The Black Heart gem lay upon the floor of The Dark Fortress its power emanating out.
Elazar used his powers to split the gem into four pieces entrusting each race a part of the gem to be its guardian, in hope that they might prevent the return of The Dark God.

Bryn Hopkins

My name is Bryn William Hopkins. I was born in 1975 to James and Linda Hopkins. I was introduced to the world of reading by my older brother, Gary, who handed me a book by David Gemmel, at the age of eighteen. I have struggled with reading all my life, as I'm severely dyslexic, and never really enjoyed reading. After twenty years of reading novels, I decided to have a go at my own story, and found it most enjoyable. This book took me around six months to write. I hope you enjoy reading this, as much as I enjoyed writing it.
