Tony Armstrong
Tony Armstrong held senior executive positions in British, Japanese and American corporations. He had a subsequent successful entrepreneurial career as chairman / chief executive of a range of venture capital backed management buy-ins and independent business start-ups. His additional voluntary activities included mentor to companies and students in the Engineering Development Trust ‘Year in Industry' programme and guiding students in the Young Enterprise Scheme (planning start-ups and operating own businesses). He was a musician in amateur jazz and early music groups. An avid writer and currently leader of a u3a Creative Writing Group, Tony's married, with two independent, adult children.
