We are aware of both the opportunities and the challenges that Artificial intelligence, specifically generative AI, presents for current publishing practises.
While these technologies are developing rapidly, our current stance reflects our values as a publisher and the internal implementation of such tools. With this in mind, we expect to revisit and adapt our position as these technologies change and develop.
Our Current Perspective
We have been using algorithms and systems based on AI internally to enhance our operational efficiency for a number of years. However, we also understand that the rise of these AI tools introduces new challenges surrounding the protection for creativity, authorship, and intellectual property. We both welcome innovation but approach these developments with caution.

We want to make sure that we are innovating and developing but doing so responsibly. To support this, we ensure that our focus remains on using technology in ways that support our standards and helps us achieve our goals.
As this landscape develops and grows, we will remain committed to the pillars set out above. We also want to assure our authors and audience, despite any AI tools we may explore, every book published under our imprints has a dedicated team of humans supporting throughout the process, from submission to publication and beyond.
