January is the perfect time to start anew, like opening a fresh journal and planning what you want to fill it with, it is the perfect opportunity to plan your next 12 months. Set yourself goals or aspirations to work towards.
I have spent the last few days contemplating 2025 and what I would like to achieve over 2026. So, with this in mind, I asked the Olympia Team: What are your resolutions for 2026?
And here are their responses!

Firstly, read all the books on my TBR. It’s an ambitious goal, but my book buying ban ends only when it is done, and I think 2026 is going to be my year. I would also like to spend more time on creative hobbies; photography and art being the main ones. I can often forget how much joy they bring to my life, so dedicating a small amount of time weekly, then maybe even daily, will help to remind me how fun it is, and help me get better at them as well.

This year, my New Year’s resolution is to save money for a future house while also making healthier choices. I plan to be more careful with my spending so I can put more money aside each month toward my goal of owning a home. At the same time, I want to cut back on eating chocolate by choosing healthier snacks.

This year, my New Year’s resolution is to finish learning French and become confident using it in everyday situations. I plan to review what I already know, improve my speaking and listening skills, and practice regularly so I don’t forget what I’ve learned. By staying motivated and consistent, I hope to reach fluency and feel proud of completing my language goal.

I don't usually do resolutions, but I have goals planned for 2026 - complete my second half-marathon in April, perform Absent Friends in March, bat a 50 in cricket this season (Ha, as if).

it's always just drink less alcohol, I always fail but I have to make it a resolution to try!

This year, my New Year’s resolution is to train for the Cambridge Half Marathon and achieve a finishing time under 1 hour and 45 minutes.

My resolutions would probably be to cut down on snacking, eat more healthily and be a bit more active.
We hope you all had a wonderful christmas and new year, and are looking forward to the exciting prospects of 2026. We would love to hear more about your new years resolutions!
