John Wright is a retired University lecturer, where he helped to train both primary and secondary school teachers. He now works as a volunteer at The Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington near York. Here he is the Collections Co-ordinator who, with a team of keen volunteers, receives, identifies and conserves donations made to the Museum. The idea for this story came from an article he read in a 1940 newspaper Children were reported as being very worried that Father Christmas would not be able to come that Christmas. He has been married for fifty years and has two children and two grandchildren. He has always believed in Father Christmas!
