John Morgan is a specialist in the political economy of multinational communities. He wrote a PhD thesis applying Hegelian philosophy to the crisis in the former Yugoslavia called "Dialectical Political System." Living in Belgrade, he saw an agreed solution produced: the too obvious Swiss model of cantons. He taught politics at the University of Toronto and McGill. He was a professor of Soviet politics at the University of Calgary during the transition to Perestroika. He dropped out and worked for Green Peace. In the 1990s, he taught economics in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Finally, he taught in York Region, Ontario, Canada.
