This book is a product of lockdown. In December 2019, Geoffrey Davies had just retired from general practice in Shropshire – then along came the pandemic. He returned to help the NHS, but whilst waiting for reaccreditation, he and Charlotte joined https://www.ancestry.com/ and researched his family tree and DNA. He was surprised to learn that many of his ancestors had lived in Shropshire and traced the line to Gruffyd Kynaston, who is in this book. He also traced his ancestry to the wonderfully named Antigone Plantagenet, whose grandfather was King Henry IV (Gramps); hence, the idea of this book was born. Most people have heard of Agincourt – but what happened afterwards?
This book chronicles the early reign of King Henry V (Uncle Henry) and his invasion of France.
