In the Swinging Sixties, Hong Kong was in the grip of a fierce tug of war between imperialist Britain and communist China, the inhabitants doing their best to lead their lives amid escalating corruption laced with the overhanging terror of the triad gangs.
Leslie is the head of the rich and influential Sun family and leader of the Warriors of the Sun, an elite squad, charged with the task of helping the government stave off the threat of Chinese invasion. This is his story and his battle for justice and peace in his beloved homeland.
Ultimately a work of fiction, this story is packed full of factual knowledge drawn from the author's own time spent there, drawing the reader into the lives of the privileged few.

M. J. Harilela

I was born in Hong Kong in 1950 to a wealthy Indian family. I went to study at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California and, after graduating, returned to Hong Kong to work initially in the family business. After five years with the family, left to start my own businesses from retail to manufacturing. Opened offices all around the world to sell products which were electronic based. Moved headquarters to Tokyo, Japan in 1998 and was there till 2004. Although having lived a lot of my life away from Hong Kong, still consider it home. Currently retired and living in the U.K. with my partner of sixteen years. This is my first book and recent events in Hong Kong and the Covid-19 pandemic has inspired me to write this book.
