This book is based on the true story of a beautiful orange tabby cat, appropriately named, Steve Rogers. Abandoned by his owner and all on his own, Steve Rogers attempts to take care of himself. He has to learn how to be alone and how to fend for himself, searching for food and shelter. Traveling around a rural area of North Texas, where the cedar elm and oak trees are plenty, he encounters a variety of different animals that are not always kind, and people who he is unsure whether it's safe for him to trust them or not.
