Nicola Emery is a painter, doodler and rhymer who once studied theatre design at Wimbledon College of Arts and has been slightly suspicious of reality ever since. Her work is shaped by everyday observations, wandering thoughts, and a firm belief that the moon has far more influence than it lets on. Inspiration tends to arrive unannounced, often at inconvenient hours, and usually when she should be doing something else.
