As a small child, I remember vividly staring at the rose garden that was brought over to Australia on the second fleet, and the goldfish in the pond nearby.
What a terrific way to set my imagination in stone then in the second house built on the Darling Downs, Queensland, Australia.
The home I grew up was the old Cobb and Co house made from sandstone brick.
Beatrix Potter wrote some of her marvellous tales in Allora, Queensland, Australia (approx. 20km away from my home). Peter Rabbit and his other friends were a beautiful inspiration to my writing.
