Rosemary Huntley

I am now retired after spending many years teaching piano and working as a medical secretary, as well as running a home and bringing up a family. I can now enjoy myself doing what I love, writing stories, painting and walking my Irish Setter. I began writing when I was about fifty-four years of age and when we moved to a remote farmhouse and I was alone for much of the time. Entering an imaginary world is great fun and very therapeutic. Various situations prompted me to write the short stories in this book. Being chased by an irate stallion and imagining being lost in an underground cave certainly fed my imagination. Sometimes an incident might spark off a little story. The more I write, the more I want to write, like so many things in life. One excellent piece of advice I was given years ago was, ‘write about what you know'.

About Book

Janice's experience of caving is a warning to all. The group really should have missed her before the lights went out, but who will realise she's not there?

What do you do with a psychic partner who won't let go? Who knows - and feels - every single thing about you? Can you escape?

A boring party, an old friend - you know everything about each other. Or do you? If you don't - well, the party isn't boring at all.

Is your child who you think they are? Or quite the opposite? How do you react when they tell you so? Can you still love them?

Teen angst to transgenderism, mild annoyance to murder, all those details that go unnoticed can change life. Rosemary Huntley's charming collection of short stories, with a twist in every tale, will give the reader pause for thought. How ordinary is your own life, really?
