William O'Connor has lived in Ireland for twenty-five years, was educated in Hertfordshire in England and went on to train as a chef and travelled the globe. He settled in Ireland for over twenty years and lives in Co. Kerry. He started writing as a lifelong ambition and after a bedtime story with his daughter decided this story needed to be made into a book and enjoyed by others. Spending time in the garden and seeing the visitors each day, the story came to life!

About Book

Paddy and Peaches are a pair of mice who live in the village of Silly Willow, near Nancy's home, where she watches the wildlife every day.

The mice have lots of friends and Fox, Owl, Mole and the others all help each other to collect crumbs and other tasty snacks from places in the village, all looking out for everyone else and avoiding the fearsome Black Wings, the birds that frighten them.

When the rats invade the church, everyone is involved in getting rid of them; the humans, the animals - and even the fairies come to help. But the greatest help comes from quite another and most surprising source.

Are the dreaded Black Wings the enemy they seem? Will they really honour the friendship code? Or are the terrible tales true after all?

The woodland folk learn about loyalty, but there is a price to pay. Can Nancy help them?
