Seasoned homicide detective Alec Lottier is on medical leave, recovering from multiple gunshot wounds. But when a daring heist at the Philadelphia Museum of Art leaves three priceless Renaissance masterpieces missing, he is dragged back into the line of fire. The stakes turn lethal when the museum’s director is found murdered.
Partnered with Lieutenant Ellen Grant, a former girlfriend, and struggling with Medical Examiner Saundra Upton, his estranged colleague and lover, Alec plunges into a convoluted international web spanning from Philadelphia to Amsterdam. To catch the killers, he must navigate internal police politics, ruthless global syndicates, and a glamorous private investigator who is tracking the art—and hunting Alec. Battling his crumbling personal life, Alec must rely on raw instinct to survive a game where the lines between justice and crime blur.
