A person of many interests, Holly Franklin has worked as a social
worker, an antiques dealer, an editor, a personal chef, a dog
boarding kennel owner and a financial services rep. She has four
grown children, four grandchildren, two dogs and one marvelous
husband. loosecannon is her first novel, and she is now working
on a book of dog stories.
loosecannon is a work of fiction. The author has taken great
liberties with places, names, etc., with respect to the City of
Guelph. Her account of the beginning of the Italian Canadian
Club is also fictitious in order to benefit the characters in
loosecannon. As with many other writers, she may begin with a
real event or person, but very quickly the event or person takes
on a life of its own so that she merely follows it to wherever it is
headed. And she is often amazed at the end result.
