Eighteen year old Freddy has always wanted to be a pilot like his World War Two pilot father. He enrols at the Point Cook Air Force College as a cadet and makes enemies of two bullies on his first day. He also makes friends, including flying instructor Alistair Churchill and his wife, Muriel. A star cadet, Freddy and his best friend, Redhead, learn about life and love as they study and train, then eventually marry before going on to satisfying careers in the Air Force.
Then Freddy wakes up, severely injured in a strange hut with a man, who tells him that not only has he crashed a Vampire jet, but that he is accused by his long term enemy, Victor Green, of causing the crash deliberately. Later in hospital, Freddy is advised by his friend and mentor, Alistair Churchill, that he is to face a court-martial.
When the past catches up, the future can be devastating, but can it be salvaged?

I have travelled extensively throughout Australia, courtesy of the Royal Australian Air Force, initially as a service brat, born in Woomera, South Australia, then as a legal officer and finally as the spouse of an Air Force Engineer. For the last thirteen years I have lived in Melbourne, studying, lecturing, and writing. In 2009 my novella, Fur On The Inside, narrated by Wombat, a very philosophical kelpie-cross, was published by Westnedge, Tasmania. I am currently researching a non-fiction book about Daphne du Maurier, and editing Tales of A Princess, a memoir about my golden Labrador, Princess Padme.
