With the ideals of both political parties growing farther apart, the US divided into the Republican controlled CNU (Conservative National Union), and the Democratic controlled UST (United Socialist Territories). The people had to choose a side to live in. Torn between opportunity and the prospect of building a nation they admired, Sonny, and his wife Maggie, moved to the UST. Their two sons were professional athletes, and better opportunities for them resided in the CNU.
Political corruption reemerges. Guns, drugs, prostitution, and gambling are all rampant in UST. Knowing they would never be allowed to leave the UST, Sonny and Maggie devise a plan to escape and reunite their family. They must rely on their days as Special Agents in the old US government. The plan needed to be covert and required help. Follow their journey as they attempt to re-unite their family in this dysfunctional world.

Robert Fraterrigo

Robert Fraterrigo grew up in the Bronx, NY, during the 1970s and '80s. Sports and street games were an important part of his childhood. So were comic books and baseball cards. Robert wrote creatively during his high school and college years. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and received an engineering degree from the City College of New York. Choosing a career within the federal government put an end to his writing dreams. Twenty-four years later, Robert retired and began to reignite his joy of writing during the COVID lockdown. Divided Freedom is his first book.
