Behrouz was born in 1980 in Leeds, England, was raised by two
Iranian parents and grew up primarily in Ottawa, Canada; a selfprofessed
‘cultural mutt.' He was a teacher of English as a second
language for four years and has worked as an accountant for a
dental support organisation for the last seven years, but his first
love has always been art, primarily cinema and literature. After
self-publishing his first novella, Iranian Tango, Canadian Waltz,
as an experiment in 2015, he has now written his first ‘proper'
novella. He currently resides in Ottawa with his wife and
daughter.
