In "Windswept and Broken" by Winnie Burke, a whirlwind of deception and desire spirals into an unexpected love story. Dominic Chandler, the notorious heir to Chandler International, must marry for love to inherit his father's fortune. But Dominic's solution is anything but romantic - he proposes a fake engagement to Catherine Michaels, a regular girl with simple needs. For Catherine, the offer is irresistible, a chance to secure her mother's future. But as their charade unfolds, the lines between pretense and passion blur. When a night of unexpected intimacy results in pregnancy, Catherine is torn between her contractual obligation to divorce and her growing feelings for Dominic. Struggling with guilt and longing, Dominic must confront his own heart before it's too late. Will their fabricated love story end in heartbreak, or can they find their way to a true happily ever after? "Windswept and Broken" is a tale of love, redemption, and the winds of change that can mend even the most broken hearts.

Winnie Burke

My name is Winnie Burke, I am married to Michael and we have a son, Dylan. I live in County Sligo in the north west of Ireland. I enjoy reading and writing romantic fiction, and taking long walks. I have written quite a few short stories which have been published in Woman's Way and Ireland's Own. I grew up near Lissadell, the inspiration for W.B. Yeats and his many works. I really enjoy the freedom and escapism writing gives and hope to keep on writing in some shape or form in the future.
