    The author describes the love of cricket inherited from his grandfather, leading to being chosen to play for Norfolk in 1958, at the age of sixteen against Nottinghamshire 2nd XI at Trent Bridge, and becoming the "Youngest Wicket Taker for Norfolk Cricket Club".
    Sixty-two years later his great-nephew, Ben Panter, aged fifteen whilst playing for Norfolk, also against Nottinghamshire 2nd XI, dismissed Liam Patterson-White, necessitating the change of title to the above.
    The book describes the disappointment of the complete loss of natural ability to bowl fast, two years later, as a result of "over-coaching".            His enthusiasm has never waned as shown in his appreciation of cricketers, such as the skill of Fred Trueman in 1953, "The greatest bloody fast bowler that ever drew breath", and James Anderson since Cape Town in 2003, the greatest fast bowling wicket taker of all time.

    Born 1942. Early life in Norfolk, where his father and grandfather helped found the Horsford Cricket Club in the 1940s, which is now the home of Norfolk County Cricket Club. Played for Norfolk at sixteen. At seventeen, played for England Schools at Lords. A year later, disaster struck, when through over-coaching, lost the ability to bowl fast. Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and successful management and involvement of large construction projects in the UK and around the world. Now lives in Holt, Norfolk.
