Joan Elkington and Robinanne Lavelle

Robinanne completed a Bachelor of Economics, a Master degree in Business and another in Education Management. She has been a teacher, lecturer, and author of five textbooks in the social sciences. As well as academic pursuits, spirituality and emotional intelligence have been at the forefront of her life's journey.

Joan grew up on a farm. As a child, she fell off her bike resulting in daily epileptic fits. Despite missing a good deal of school, Joan was highly articulate, widely read, an avid poet, a watercolour artist, pastel colourist of black and white photographs, a political activist, campaigner for nuclear disarmament, accomplished dressmaker, cook and completed amazing crochet sets.
