Wren Lao was only young when she learnt to be light footed, a trick her mother taught her in the Markets that lined the Capital of Ekoni. She was young when she learnt of the injustices of her corrupt society and its devastating impact. A Fire raged inside her and a promise was made for justice. Vengeance. Inside the Castle walls that loomed over her another girl's fire began to burn with embers that would roar into flame. The Princess. Faeryn had been locked away by her mother since the Pirate Wars, protected but suffocated. They both sought escape, a place to hide, to grow and the Fae heard their call, pulling them both in the direction of the Forest of Kasia. Bonding them forever. Change is coming to Ekoni, sometimes it just takes a little love to spark the flame.
