Taste of Summer is an exciting tale of passion, jealousy and betrayal, told through the voices of the five main characters. Julia, an artist married to Simon a struggling writer. Arthur, a GP, married to Beth who suffers from MS, and Sophie a volatile character who tells stories through dance. Julia and Arthur meet at a residential Creative Arts Summer School, attraction is immediate, the result explosive, but threatened by Sophie's jealousy.
Brilliant writing by Moira Andrew, an author at the top of her game.

"Taste of Summer- True to life and sexy? It's a rare combination, and one that Moira pulls off with her customary aplomb. - This novel is beautifully written; underpinned, yet not overpowered by her impeccable poetry."
- Mark Maddrell

"This Year Next Year - of Love and Loss, it turned my heart inside out."
- Maureen Lipman's review in the Guardian

Moira Andrew

Moira Andrew was born and educated in Scotland. She became a primary teacher, married, had two daughters and was so busy keeping things going at home and at school, that there was little time to try her hand at writing. She divorced, became a lecturer in Craigie College of Education in Ayr and began writing poetry, enjoying making words work for her.
In 2005 she joined the prestigious Falmouth Poetry Group. Where the standard of her poetry came on by leaps and bounds and she made many friends among the members. She set up the Cornish Chapter of the Society of Authors. ‘This Year Next Year' and ‘Firebird' (IDP) were published in Cornwall.
She is a member of the Frome Writers Collective, and ran a very successful Poetry writing group here in Nunney for many years. Of course, she continues to write! Despite her failing eyesight. (See ‘Looking Through Water' (Poetry Space) now a Talking Book for the Blind!)
