A heart-warming story based around a group of carers who meet up and assist each other through the ups and downs of caring for others. Often this means caring for your own family, which can be more devastating than caring for another.
This story highlights the fact that even carers require a moment to themselves, time to chat and laugh together, talk about their cares with those in the same position, as caring for someone else is demanding and can lead to severe loneliness.
This book brings to life its main characters, Louise who cares for the carers, Rachel who is silently suffering on her own, Francesca, a single mum, and, Murray who has been left to care for his disabled son, among other characters.
