Christmas Eve is here. Grandpaw Harold and his wife, Nana Scrappy, are getting ready for the festivities. Their grandson, Barry, and his friend, Bean the Bunny, are preparing for their roles in their church's Christmas pageant that evening. The homestead's caretaker, Eugene O'Squirrel, is overseeing the delivery of all the Christmas goodies arriving at the house via horse-drawn wagon and by train. All is well... almost. Unfortunately, a mischievous, Christmas-hating mouse named Mortimer, is intent on ruining Christmas for everybody - until, that is, a mysterious golden map appears, drawing all of them together to uncover the secret meaning of Christmas.
