It all began with two boys, cousins but also best friends, running around their farm, between the sheep and dogs, catching and throwing a rugby ball. Joe and Rhys spent most of their time together, fantasising about their dreams and where life would take them but who would have thought that they would have a chance at making these dreams a reality? As word of their talent begins to spread, inevitably they start to draw the attention of many. After Joe's life hits an unexpected barrier, he demonstrates the importance of staying true to one's self, and how being a good person is what truly counts. This is a story of two best friends, with a passion and talent for rugby whose lives take a sudden turn. Despite facing changes in almost every aspect of their lives, their friendship remains true.

Born in Muswell Hill, north London, David spent his early years in Finsbury Park with his mother, father and two brothers. When David was ten, they moved to Crouch End until he married and moved to Wood Green, eventually buying a home in Edmonton, where his two daughters were born. He then moved to Harrow Weald where his son was born, and later, after his first divorce, he ended up moving to Hemel Hempstead, where he remains to this day. Marrying again and twenty-two years later divorcing again. David still resides in the same house, alone with a small dog called Twiggy. He retired from Gist/ BOC in 2013 to play more golf and now lawn bowls. He had some serious health problems in 2017, resulting in the removal of his lower bowel. Fit and well now, he spends his time reading, writing (his second novel over half way through) and playing bowls.
