My memoirs begin with several unhappy childhood incidents from which an eating disorder develops. I escape from my home by marrying an ambitious young bank clerk called Patrick but married life is not without its difficulties. But life deals another cruel blow when Patrick confesses his own demons. The various mental health issues explored are sadly not unique and have affected others. Sarah R Jones was born and grew up in Surrey and now resides in the West Country. She is a retired nurse having achieved a first-class honour in adult nursing studies. She has nursed for many years in various roles and different settings. During her career, her passion for writing led her into writing nursing articles, which developed into a lifelong ambition of writing her memoir, I Had a Dream.
