Buttke Sensei grew up in the valley of California. He received his Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies and a K-12 California Teaching Credential from Fresno State University in California. He has a fourth-degree black belt in traditional Shotokan karate and a third-degree black belt in martial arts and has trained in many martial arts styles throughout his thirty-seven years of martial arts training.
