When Amber is abruptly let go at work, she decides to go down to Cornwall, where she has precious memories of visiting with her father, many years before. She meets a friendly taxi driver at the station and asks that he drop her off for a walk along the clifftop before she goes into town.
There, on the clifftop, Amber meets a strangely compelling man and after that night, she loses her memory completely. She wakes up in a house she somehow recognises as hers, but she doesn't know if it is or how it came to be so.
She has terrible dreams every night and when she tries to remember who she is, her mind and body are overcome with a terrible weakness and illness.
Amber knows she has to find the answers to who she is and why she is here. She knows her fate is somehow entwined with that of the chilling stranger she met on the clifftops. But how far will she have to go to find out the truth? And who is the stranger from the cliffs?

Rae Lloyd

Originally born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, I have now lived in Cornwall for over ten years. As well as writing both novels and poetry, my interests include painting, drawing and taking photographs. I have been interested in writing since I was a child and won first place at school in a short story competition. My story was called Night Noises. My ideas come from observing the nature of the world around us, the psychological and physical effects of our environments and the times we find ourselves living in and through.
