    P. J. (Philip John) Rogers was born and brought up in Essex before moving to his adopted town of Newport in South Wales. Having travelled much of the globe, this former civil servant has taken a great interest in the social history of his local area. He also has a passion for languages having studied both French and Welsh. He shares his life with his wife, Mary, and a rather eccentric cat!

    Apart from a handful of short stories written in his younger days this tale of magic and mystery is his first literary creation.
