This is an entertaining and light-hearted book that will be of interest to anyone who enjoys humour; it is not just for parkrun enthusiasts.
Simon has based this anthology of short stories around scenarios that could have taken place at parkrun. He wrote this book to cheer up parkrunners who could no longer run because of COVID-19 and lockdown.
It's great to read such a cheerful and happy book in the midst of what has been a very difficult time for all. I recommend it to everyone.

Simon has been chasing personal bests at Wycombe Rye parkrun since 2013 and has now completed 223 runs and 39 volunteer days. He had just completed his first time as run director and was about to do his second when lockdown kicked in. Simon retired from the corporate world in 2019 and now volunteers and works part-time for a local charity. This is Simon's first book which wouldn't exist if it weren't for lockdown. Some of the stories are semi-biographical, but most are drawn from the love of parkrun, the people and what it brings to people's lives.
