Although the characters in the stories in this book may live in different parts of the world and may never meet, they all have had adventures or misadventures of their own. Try to answer these seven secret questions as you read the book. 1. Who is Jessie's grandma? 2. What is the name of the one eyed witch in The Odd Box? 3. How many bones are there in Geoffreys' long neck? 4. What is the name of the dentist in Henry's Bad Tooth? 5. Which artist appears on every page but you never see her. 6. You will need to guess this one. Whose daughter rode an elephant called Daisy in the Danish State Circus? 7. Who does Homer fall in love with in Percy's Pigeons?

I began telling stories to my brothers and sisters about sixty years ago. I carried on when Listen With Mother finished, so our mother could have a longer nap. I wrote six of the stories in this book in 1988, but resurrected them during the first lockdown and wrote four more. I also took to writing poetry and typed up all my husbands hand written poems. My husband and I had just celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary when he died on the 1st of July 2018. I have one daughter, Samantha, two grandchildren, Cameron and Jessica, and a lovely son-in-law, Dean.
