    I am a retired firefighter and police command centre supervisor. I have two grown up sons and two grandsons. I am a widower and my late wife always encouraged me to write. I started writing children's stories for my grandsons and have had one of these published, The Legend of Tor Silverwolf. Backlash is my first adult novel and I have drawn heavily on my previous police service experience to make the story as realistic as possible. I am a keen sports fan, especially rugby and cricket and I work as a volunteer for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
