S. J. Grant had a difficult upbringing, to say the least. As an adult, he had to force himself to face the ugly parts of his past that terrified him more than anything. He often escaped that reality by using drugs or alcohol. After years of self-destruction, he found himself at a crossroads - change and live, or continue down the path he was on and surely die. He chose life. Which was the harder decision. He got sober. Started to care about himself. Did a lot of introspection. And here is the book that came out of it.
