Richard Baron is a retired language teacher/lecturer, having taught all levels from primary to university. He has mainly taught French and some Spanish and Italian. He spent two years in Paris teaching English and a further year in Burkina Faso, where he taught English and history in French. He taught English as a foreign language in his final working years. Richard now writes regular articles for a French magazine for English-speaking learners of French. He spent some six years preparing about twenty-five notebooks to complete French Letters, the original title being Carnets Parisiens.
