In her memoir, Professor Goduka leads readers to her childhood in her village kwaManxeba, during the 1950's and 60's. This was an era during which she witnessed deaths of babies and young children from malnutrition and other preventable diseases. After contracting kwashiorkor and Tuberculosis, as a young girl, she was hospitalized. However, she emerged from that experience wondering why she survived while so many children lost their lives. That question led to a lifetime exploration of purpose and meaning which she openly shares in her memoir. For all those questioning or reflecting on the meaning and purpose in their own lives - what they are on earth to fulfil - Professor Goduka's memoir of life and lessons is a must read!
