Peter Havranek was born and brought up in East Africa. He developed a love of storytelling from listening to his mother telling traditional stories while on long, hot car journeys through Africa.
He spent his whole career as a primary school teacher in Wiltshire where he soon became headteacher. His story telling skills were further enhanced through showing other teachers how to incorporate story telling across the curriculum.
Now retired, he and his wife Susan spend their time split between their homes in Wiltshire and the Vendee in France. He has two children and three grandchildren.
