Norman Dunnington was born on 12 February 1938 in Lincolnshire. He spent thirty years in the RAF, leaving as a Wing Commander in 1985, and the remaining fifteen years of his working life with the legal profession before retiring to Spain in 1999. He has a love of vintage jazz, and in his earlier years enjoyed playing golf. He was a Class 1 football referee and has directed and had lead roles in numerous amateur theatre productions. He has visited many countries around the world and, although a work of fiction, Strictly Legal draws on knowledge gained through those experiences.
