Marek Nowina (pronounced Noh-Vee-Nah) is the pen name used by Marek Janota-Bzowski. Born into a Polish family that found themselves in England after the War, he was educated at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, University College and Kings College, all in London, and, following ten years in commerce, became a teacher of mathematics in both London and Boston, Massachusetts. With a varied career, his main focus has been as a promotor and producer, be it of youthful intellect or of musical talent and, as a writer, he has written theatrical reviews for the Jamaica Plain Gazette and published in the Mathematical Review.
From Bottom Lawn to Top Gate is his second literary endeavour, the first having been A Field in Arlon (AuthorHouse 2007).
